Office move

Friday everyone leaves. Monday everyone works.

That is the entire job description for an office move. Everything in between – the desks, the screens, the archive, the kitchen, the plant nobody admits owning – is our problem, not your team’s. We move outside your working hours, put every desk back where your plan says it goes, and hand you one fixed price for the lot.

  • Evenings, weekends, overnight – so nobody loses a billable day.
  • Desks dismantled and rebuilt, not dropped in a corner as flat-pack.
  • Your seating plan reproduced at the new address, department by department.
  • Our own staff, our own fleet – the same faces all weekend, no subcontractors.
  • One written fixed price, one invoice, insured at €620/cbm.
Packing materials prepared by Junker Removals for an office move in Berlin

Not an office? Shops, restaurants, workshops, practices and studios are a different job with a different plan – that is our commercial move.

Floor plan

We don’t just move the furniture – we rebuild the seating plan

A pile of desks in the right building is not a working office. Before we load anything, we take your floor plan for the new address. Every desk, every pedestal, every screen goes to the place your plan says it goes – so on Monday people sit down where they expected to sit down, next to the colleagues they expected.

Your plan, your zones, your people – reproduced, not improvised.

Departments stay together

Teams that sit together keep sitting together. We move zone by zone, so nobody spends Monday looking for their team.

Every desk gets rebuilt

Dismantled at the old address, assembled at the new one and put in position – ready to work on, not leaning against a wall.

No plan yet? We work with that

Plenty of companies do not have one. Then we walk the new space with you and set the zones before the move, not during it.

Scope

Everything on the floor – including the coffee machine

An office only works as a whole. Move the desks and forget the kitchen, and your team spends Monday standing around wondering where the mugs are.

Desks, chairs & pedestals

The bulk of the job. Dismantled where they have to be, rebuilt at the new address and placed to your plan. Pedestals stay locked and stay with their desk.

IT & technology

Computers, monitors, printers and network hardware move with careful, low-vibration handling, protected with moving blankets and film and properly secured in the vehicle. On request we set them up at the new desks and reconnect them.

Filing & archives

Cabinets and shelving move as a unit, so your records stay in the order your team keeps them. Nobody wants to spend the first week rebuilding a filing system.

Meeting rooms & reception

Conference tables, chairs, sofas, reception counters, the big screen. The awkward pieces that decide whether the new office looks finished on Monday.

Kitchen & break room

Fridges, coffee machines, cupboards, the crockery. Small stuff that gets forgotten in every quote – and is the first thing your team looks for on Monday morning.

Whatever is not coming

The desks that have had their day, the broken chairs, the archive you have wanted gone for years. Cleared and disposed of responsibly, so the old floor goes back empty.

Materials, packing and access come with it: crates and moving materials delivered beforehand, our packing team if you want one, no-parking zones at both addresses, a furniture lift where the staircase says no, storage if the new floor is not ready and disposal for what stays behind. Moving to another city? Then it is a long-distance relocation.

One night

A small office moves between two working days

This is what an overnight move looks like in practice. Larger floors get a weekend, and very large ones get several windows – department by department, so only part of the company is ever in transit.

  1. 18:00

    Your team goes home

Last laptop in its crate, last drawer closed. Nobody stays late for us.

  2. 18:30

    Dismantling starts

Desks apart, screens off the arms, cabinets emptied of nothing – they travel loaded where they can.

  3. 22:00

    Loading & transport

Out through the lift or the stairwell, into the trucks, across town. The no-parking zone is already standing.

  4. 02:00

    Rebuilding

Desks back together at the new address and placed to your floor plan. Zone by zone, department by department.

  5. 08:00

    Doors open

People walk in, sit down, and find their desk where they expected it. Boxes beside it, ready to unpack.

How long will ours take? That depends on the number of workstations and the access at both buildings – lifts, loading, how far the carry is. You get the honest answer at the survey and the exact window in writing, before you book anything.

Why us

Why companies hand us the keys

An office move happens when nobody is watching – that is the point of it. So the question is not really what it costs, but who you are letting in and whether the date holds.

The same team, all weekend

Not a crew hired that morning who have never seen your building. Permanently employed movers who have taken apart a few thousand desks – and who are still there on Sunday when the last cabinet goes in.

One price, one invoice

A written fixed price after the survey, everything itemised, one invoice at the end. No hourly meter running while your office sits in a lorry, and nothing awkward to explain to your accounts department.

We say so if the date is wrong

If your office cannot realistically move in one night, you hear it at the survey – not at 3 a.m. with half the company on a pallet. Honest scheduling is cheaper than optimistic scheduling.

The move your team never had to think about.

Pack your own desk on Friday, find it standing on Monday. In between, none of it was anybody’s problem but ours. Since 2012, with our own people and our own trucks: 1,600+ reviews, 4.9 out of 5 stars.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ – Windows, desks, IT & who is in your building

The key answers about moving your office with Junker Removals – and when you can reach us.

+ Can you move our office at night or over a weekend?

Yes – and that is the normal way we do it. A small office often moves between two working days: dismantling from 18:00, transport overnight, rebuilding before 08:00. Larger floors get a weekend, and very large sites are split across several windows – department by department, so only part of the company is ever in transit.

+ How long does an office move take?

It depends on two things: the number of workstations and the access at both buildings – lifts, loading, how far things have to be carried. Ten desks with a goods lift at both ends is a different job from thirty desks up a narrow staircase. You get the honest estimate at the survey and the exact window in writing before you book.

+ Do you rebuild the desks, or do we get flat-pack?

We rebuild them. Desks are dismantled at the old address, transported, reassembled at the new one and placed according to your floor plan. A pile of desk parts in the right building is not an office – and your team should not spend Monday morning with an Allen key.

+ Do you move our IT equipment?

Yes. Computers, monitors, printers and network hardware are handled carefully and with as little vibration as possible, protected with moving blankets and film and properly secured in the vehicle. On request we set them up at the new desks and reconnect them. Everything is insured at €620 per cubic metre.

+ What happens to our filing and archives?

Cabinets and shelving move as a unit wherever possible, so your records stay in the order your team keeps them. Nobody wants to spend the first week in the new office rebuilding a filing system that worked perfectly well on Friday.

+ Do we get a fixed price or is it billed by the hour?

A fixed price. After the survey you get one written quote with every item listed separately, and one invoice at the end. That matters when the move has to be signed off internally – an hourly meter that ran longer than planned is a difficult conversation with your accounts department.

+ Who is actually in our building out of hours?

Our own permanently employed movers. We do not send agency crews or subcontractors into your offices – which is rather the point when a team is working unsupervised at two in the morning in a building full of hardware and records.

+ What about the old furniture, and what if the new floor is not ready?

Old desks, broken chairs and the archive you have wanted gone for years get cleared and disposed of responsibly in the same window, so you hand the old floor back empty and on time. If the new space is not finished yet, everything goes into storage and comes back out the day you need it.
