What a furniture lift is
When the stairs or the lift simply are not enough
A furniture lift carries suitable items along the outside of a building to a window or balcony that allows the transfer. It may help where stairs or the internal lift are unsuitable. The item dimensions, equipment limits, access and positioning space must be assessed together before a booking is confirmed.
- Alternative access where the building allows
- Handling planned for the listed furniture
- Heavy or bulky pieces assessed individually
- Window, balcony and setup area checked
- Operated lift booking with an experienced operator
- Berlin and nearby Brandenburg
Our lifts
Furniture lift options – suitability comes first
The lift must match the address and the load. The listed equipment heights describe model capabilities, not guaranteed reach at every building. We check the relevant machine, access and setup before confirming suitability.
- Stecklift Site assessment required Suitability depends on access, positioning and the items to be moved.
- Junior lift Site assessment required Suitability depends on access, positioning and the items to be moved.
- Topworker Site assessment required Suitability depends on access, positioning and the items to be moved.
- Topworker Site assessment required Suitability depends on access, positioning and the items to be moved.
A floor number alone does not establish suitability. We assess the window or balcony height, distance from the building, positioning space, item dimensions and equipment limits. The stated maximum height is not a promise of access to a particular floor.
Service & deployment
Full service and flexible deployment
Your quote sets out delivery, setup, operation and removal for the lift booking, plus any separately agreed carrying work. Tell us whether you need a single-item lift or a longer deployment so we can assess the schedule and site requirements.
- Delivery to the site
- Professional set-up
- Operated by a trained member of our team
- Dismantling and removal afterwards
Short-notice enquiries
Send the site details and preferred date. We check equipment and operator availability before confirming a short-notice booking.
From a single item
A single heavy or bulky piece can be assessed. Its dimensions, weight, access and handling requirements determine suitability and the quoted work.
Multi-day hire for companies
Businesses can enquire about a longer deployment. We assess the site, schedule, operator arrangements and work to be carried out before confirming the booking.
Coordination with your site team
Name a site contact and explain how your team will assist with access and handovers. Operator responsibilities and the agreed handling work should be clear before deployment.
Where it is used
When to consider a furniture lift
These situations can justify an access assessment. A lift is considered alongside the building, load and setup requirements; it is not automatically the most suitable or lowest-cost option.
Moving into a high floor
Where a suitable window or balcony and positioning area are available, a lift can provide an alternative route for selected belongings.
No lift, or one that is too small
If the internal lift is too small or unavailable, we assess whether external access is possible. Send photographs and dimensions before booking.
Bulky and heavy pieces
Tell us about sofas, wardrobes, appliances or specialist heavy pieces. Dimensions, weight and handling must fit the equipment and the building access.
Narrow stairwells
A piece that cannot turn on the stairs may be assessed for external access. Window openings, projections and the setup area can still limit the options.
Renovation & clearances
For clearance or renovation work, describe the items or materials and the building access. We assess whether they are suitable for the proposed equipment and handling arrangement.
Planned handling
Suitable external access may reduce carrying through the building. Packing, securing and handling still need to be agreed for the individual load.
How it works
Four steps to the agreed lift booking
-
1
Describe the site and items
Send the address, window or balcony height, photographs, item dimensions and access restrictions.
-
2
Review the proposed work
We assess equipment and access, then quote the operator, setup, duration and any additional handling.
-
3
Confirm the setup arrangements
Clarify positioning space, access and any required permissions before the agreed deployment.
-
4
Carry out the booked lift work
The operator manages the lift while the agreed moving or site team coordinates handling and handovers.
Plan the setup area early. We need to assess suitable positioning space and access. A temporary no-parking zone or other permission may be required, depending on the location. Tell us about private courtyards, public pavement and access restrictions when requesting the quote.
Your building, your access plan.
Our Berlin-based team assesses the lifting location, access and inventory before confirming suitable equipment and an operator.
Frequently asked questions
FAQ – Furniture lift: heights, operators & costs
The key answers about lifts, heights, how it works and what it costs – and when you can reach us.
What is a furniture lift and when do I need one?
A furniture lift transports suitable items along the outside of a building to a window or balcony. It may help with upper floors, narrow stairs or an unsuitable internal lift, provided the site and load assessment support its use.
Which lifts do you use?
We work exclusively with our own machines: a Junior lift and a telescopic lift with a working height of 18 to 24 metres, and the Topworker with a working height of up to 37 metres.
How high does the furniture lift reach?
Reach depends on the specific model, setup geometry and site conditions. We assess the window or balcony height, positioning space and the items being moved. A maximum equipment height cannot be converted into a guaranteed floor number.
Is an operator included?
Our operated lift bookings include an experienced operator. The quote clarifies setup, operation and any separate carrying or loading work needed from the moving or site team.
What does a furniture lift cost?
The quote reflects equipment, location, setup, duration, operator requirements and additional handling. Send photographs, access details and an item list so we can assess the work and provide an individual offer.
Do I need a permit or a no-parking zone?
This depends on where the lift will stand and how the area is used. We assess the setup location and clarify any required no-parking arrangement or permission before the booking. A no-parking zone alone does not establish that a site is suitable.
Is transport by furniture lift safe for my furniture?
Suitability is checked for the items, access and equipment before work is agreed. Correct packing and handling remain necessary. A lift does not remove all transport risk; ask about the applicable liability terms and any additional cover before booking.
Do you only work in Berlin?
We are based in Berlin and assess lift bookings in Berlin and nearby Brandenburg. For a longer removal route, a lift can be considered where a start or destination is in this area.
Is a short-notice booking possible, even for a single item?
Send details of the item, address, access and preferred date. We check equipment and operator availability; a small load does not guarantee immediate availability or remove any minimum charge.
Do you also hire out furniture lifts to companies for several days?
Businesses can request multi-day deployment. We assess the site, equipment, schedule, operator and handling responsibilities and confirm the agreed work in the quote.
