Equipment needs preparation
Technology needs careful handling.
Start with an equipment list, destination plan and manufacturer transport instructions. Identify unusually heavy, delicate or battery-powered items before packing is agreed. Your IT contact prepares the equipment and confirms when it is ready to hand over; we assess the physical handling and access at both addresses.
- Careful handling for the agreed equipment
- Protective packing suited to the items
- Individual devices or workplace inventories
- Loading and securing arrangements
- Liability and cover clarified before booking
- Placement and additional work by agreement

Equipment we assess
From equipment to office furniture.
List equipment type, quantity, dimensions and weight where available. Add photographs of larger devices and the route through doors, lifts and loading areas. Flag anything that needs specialist preparation so acceptance can be checked before collection.
Servers and racks
Give cabinet and rack dimensions, total weight and the manufacturer’s handling requirements. Your IT contact should specify what must be removed, secured or prepared before transport.
PCs, workstations and laptops
Match each device and its accessories to a destination or workstation code. Have your IT contact prepare data security and transport readiness before handover.
Monitors and displays
Provide screen dimensions and stand details. Tell us whether suitable original packaging is available so protection and handling can be agreed.
Printers and multifunction devices
Send model, weight and transport instructions. Have the responsible equipment contact clarify any preparation of consumables, moving parts or accessories.
Network and communication equipment
List routers, switches and power units separately. Identify batteries and unusual handling requirements before the shipment is accepted.
Office furniture and cabinets
Add desks, cabinets and shelving to the inventory if they are moving too. Note any dismantling or destination assembly you want assessed.
Protection and handling
Prepared for the agreed transport.
Agree packing, device identification and handover before moving day. Confirm the carry route, lift dimensions and loading position at both sites. Your IT contact should decide how data-bearing equipment is prepared and who is authorised to hand it over and receive it.

When this service helps
Support for your equipment move.
Moving the complete workplace? See our office removals service and include the equipment transport in the overall scope.
Server-room and equipment moves
Provide a device inventory and release sequence agreed with your IT contact. Server-room transport requires assessment of the equipment and access; it does not include running an IT migration.
Part of an office move
Match equipment labels to the office destination plan. Coordinate readiness for collection with the wider move and your IT team’s work.
Between sites or floors
Describe doors, stairs, lifts and loading points for each site or floor. Confirm access permissions and the contact responsible for handover.
Individual devices
Send the model, dimensions, weight and both addresses for an individual server, printer or display. Acceptance and handling are assessed for the specific item.
Home-office equipment
Identify company equipment and its accessories separately from personal belongings when moving between a Berlin-area workplace and a home office.
Temporary storage
Tell us the equipment’s storage requirements and when it will be needed again. Suitability, access and redelivery must be checked before storage is agreed.
Plan your equipment transport
Your equipment move with an agreed plan.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about IT equipment transport
Preparation, scope and your individual quote.
What equipment can you assess?
Send an inventory of computers, displays, printers, racks and other office equipment, with models, dimensions and weights where available. Identify batteries, delicate parts and manufacturer handling instructions. We assess acceptance and any special requirements for the individual shipment.
Who handles backups and shutdown?
Your authorised IT contact arranges backups, data protection, shutdown and preparation for transport. Data migration, software configuration, testing and commissioning remain separate technical responsibilities; confirm when the equipment is ready for handover.
Can this form part of an office move?
Yes. Equipment transport can be included in an office move, with the equipment and responsibilities listed in the agreed scope.
How should equipment be labelled?
Agree a room or workstation code and use it consistently for each device and its accessories. Keep the matching inventory with the project contacts. Avoid displaying passwords or confidential customer information on external labels.
Do you transport individual devices?
We can assess requests for individual devices as well as larger inventories. Send both addresses and equipment details for an individual quote.
What protection is used?
Packing and securing are agreed for the specific equipment and route. Share manufacturer instructions, dimensions, weight and any original packaging available. A server cabinet, display and printer may need different preparation; arrangements are confirmed before collection.
Do you connect equipment at the destination?
We agree where the equipment is placed and handed over. Your authorised IT contact coordinates reconnection, configuration, testing and commissioning. Confirm the boundary between physical placement and technical work before booking.
Which routes are covered?
We assess moves within Berlin and the nearby surrounding area, plus longer-distance equipment transport starting or finishing in this region. Send both addresses, access details and the equipment list so the route and handling can be reviewed.
