You pay for your space – not for the whole lorry
A part-load puts your furniture and boxes on a lorry that is already driving your route. You share the vehicle, the fuel and the driver with other customers, so you only pay for the cubic metres you actually use – typically up to 50 % less than a move with your own truck. Germany-wide and across Europe.

Who it suits
Ideal when you do not need a whole lorry
If your things would rattle around in a 7.5-tonne vehicle, you are paying for air. These are the cases where a part-load is almost always the better answer.
Single pieces of furniture
A sofa, a wardrobe or a piano that has to travel a long way but does not justify a lorry of its own.

When should I book a part-load?
Two to four weeks in advance gets you the best price and the best route – a part-load works by combining several consignments on one lorry, and early booking lets us plan your load into a tour that is already taking shape. If your request is urgent, ask anyway: with our own fleet we can often arrange a short-term solution within a few business days.
What kind of transport is a part-load suitable for?
Anything that does not fill a lorry. Typical cases are single pieces of furniture (a sofa, a piano, a large wardrobe), partial moves, small households and student moves, business shipments of individual desks or technical equipment, and boxes or small consignments that have to cross Germany or Europe.
How long does a part-load take?
It depends on the route and the current tour planning – unlike a direct move, the lorry may have several loading and unloading points on the way. Within Germany expect three to seven business days; Europe-wide deliveries usually arrive within seven to fourteen business days. You receive a defined delivery window in advance so you can plan around it.
How much does a part-load cost?
The price is calculated from the volume in cubic metres and the distance to the destination. Because the fixed costs for fuel and staff are shared between several customers, a part-load is significantly cheaper than a standard move – typically up to 50 %. You receive a transparent fixed price that already includes loading, securing and transport insurance.
Do I have to be there at collection?
It is strongly recommended that you or someone you authorise is present at both collection and delivery, so the goods are handed over correctly, their condition is documented and the transport documents can be signed. If you cannot be there in person we can arrange alternatives – collecting from a storage unit or a neighbour, for example – as long as we have written authorisation and clear access to the items.
How is my load protected if it shares the lorry?
Your part of the load is packed and secured exactly as it would be on a full move, and secured against shifting in the vehicle. On request we supply the materials too: sturdy boxes, protective film, padding and lashing straps. Transport insurance is part of the fixed price.
Is a part-load better than a mini move or a long-distance move?
It depends on distance and volume. A part-load is right for a small volume over a long distance. For a handful of items inside Berlin, an hourly mini move is usually cheaper. For a whole household going a long way, a long-distance move with your own team and one direct run fits better. Tell us the job and we will say honestly which of the three suits it.
Do you also carry part-loads for businesses?
Yes. Individual desks, files, IT equipment or a small change of premises travel the same way, nationwide. It avoids paying for an empty lorry on a route that is running anyway – usually the cheapest way to move a small business consignment.
